Leeds Utd Vs Rangers FC

Saturday 26th November 2011 1.00 PM to 4.00 PM (This Event is Over)

Venue : Antrim Forum

It is the turn of Glasgow Rangers to take on the mighty Leeds Utd FC Supporters in the annual Eye Feel Good Charity Football Match.

Relishing the Challenge

Stuart Buick, Leeds Captain and Eye Feel Good director, is relishing the challenge from the Glasgow Rangers team. Stuart told Eye Feel Good "It is always an honour to pull on the white shirt and step out for Leeds. The Leeds team is well prepared this year. We have the experience of our previous encounters with Manchester United and Liverpool but we won't understimate the ability of the Glasgow Rangers team."

Stuart went on "It is always nice to win BUT the game is about much more than the two teams taking part. The game is about continuing the tradition of Eye Feel Good and trying to raise money to help people who really need it. Everybody will be hyped up for the match BUT I expect both teams to conduct themselves in the manner befitting of their clubs and Eye Feel Good"

Battle of Britain

As you would expect a match involving two of the titans of british and european football comes with the heavy weight of history lying on it's back.

Rangers claimed the unofficial title of British champions when they beat Howard Wilkinson's Leeds United in the 1992-93 European Cup. It was the first tie styled by the media as the 'Battle of Britain'.

Scottish midfielder Gary McAllister gave Leeds the perfect start at Ibrox inside two minutes, but a John Lukic own goal gave the Gers a lifeline and then Ally McCoist put them ahead going in to the second leg at Elland Road.

Rangers also won that leg 2-1 to seal an impressive 4-2 win on aggregate

Thanks to Both Teams

Eye Feel Good would like to thank both teams ahead of this epic encounter and wish them both the very best of luck.
